Closure Descriptions
Right Lane Closure
Utilized as a work zone, portions or all of a Right lane may be taken over for equipment and truck placement Cones and an Arrowboard are used
to create a buffer zone to allow oncoming traffic time to merge into the next lane. As well as provide ample room for the crews to safely complete work.
Left Lane Closure
Utilized as a work zone, portions or all of a Left lane may be taken over for equipment and truck placement Cones and an Arrowboard are used
to create a buffer zone to allow oncoming traffic time to merge into the next lane. As well as provide ample room for the crews to safely complete work.
Center Lane Closure
Utilized as a work zone, portions or all of a Center lane may be taken over for equipment and truck placement Cones and an Arrowboard are used
to create a buffer zone to allow oncoming traffic time to merge into the next lane. As well as provide ample room for the crews to safely complete work.
Bike Lane Closure
A closure where the bike lane is closed off and redirects for the oncoming bike traffic are redirected around work zone.
Shoulder Work
A Closure where a shoulder pocket that isn’t a lane is available and setup reflects the shoulder/pocket.
Sidewalk Closure
A closure where-in the sidewalk is taken up by the work zone so redirects are placed at each available entry point to the sidewalk.
Flaggers are then placed along closure to assist and Pedestrians either through work zone or around.
One Lane Road
A Flagger Assisted Closure where multiple lanes are not available So one lane is taken as the work zone. Flaggers are then placed at each end of the closure
To assist oncoming traffic in sections through the work zone safely .
Lane Shift
A Closure used when Multiple lanes are not available but enough room is allotted for a lane adjustment to where the flow of traffic is manually changed
and shifted by cones to allow for a work zone but keeping both oncoming lanes live.
